African Net Sponge
African Net Sponge
Introducing our Authentic African Sponge, also known as Sapo, sourced and crafted in West Africa. Made from 100% nylon, this premium exfoliating sponge embodies the rich bathing traditions of Africa. The term "Sapo" comes from "saponaceous," meaning a frothy, bubbly lather, inspired by the Horse Chestnut tree, which produces an oily seed used in soap making.
Our African Net Sponge is meticulously woven with knots at every crossing, offering an exhilarating exfoliation experience that buffs away dry, dead skin while improving blood circulation. Initially, the sponge may feel stiff, but it softens and stretches over time, making it easy to reach those hard-to-clean areas like your back and feet. This sponge is designed to last up to two years or more and is highly hygienic, unlike loofahs, as it resists bacteria buildup.
The sponge comes with matching string colors for a sophisticated touch, and you have the option to keep or remove the strings based on your preference. You can mix any combination of colors or choose one color to suit your style.
A little goes a long way—just a few drops of liquid soap or a gentle rub on your soap bar will produce abundant cleansing suds, leaving your skin clean, smooth, and soft after every use. For the best results, follow up your bath or shower with a body moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and smooth all day.
Each sponge is individually cut, so sizes may vary slightly. The dimensions are approximately 35 inches (88.9 cm) in width and 40 inches (102 cm) in length, stretching up to 45 inches (114 cm). Some colors may bleed slightly during the first few uses.
Care instructions: Wash your sponge weekly in the washing machine or by hand, and hang it to dry. For the best lather, use it with bar soap, especially Black Soap, or liquid soap.
